From the day we come to our senses , we have a friend , be it our parents or uncle we all know whom to go to when we want certain things like chocolate or bed time stories,
Then there are pre-school friends and then nursery friends with whom sharing of toys , toffees , playing games is what constitutes friendship , the age till 12-13 , which is totally ignorant of the opposite gender . Then comes the turn around suddenly gals start looking more and more interesting :D , avoiding guys and making friends with gals is found more important . One starts making plans on how to get close to "that" gal , joining dance class or dramatics , painting , music , suddenly , i could just , sing, play , draw, and act all together at one go :P
Then comes the career making phase , where the tuition teachers or faculty become our mentor , best friends , every word they utter , becomes golden word and we mug it up as prayer and walk on that path , little that we know that this long journey of studies and hardship is going to continue forever :( , what you dont believe me i am 26+ and still trying to study and get good marks , though "trying" is the fallacy here
The academic rigor phase from 17-25 is never ending , we make tuition friends to exchange notes ...... yes off-course other than that cute gal in the tuition for whom we make notes :D ......then comes the 4 coolest years of life @engineering , what a life spoiler , makes u complacent , carefree :D ...... from cards , to finding gal bio data ..... any common interest shared turns into friendship :) Engineering days are the coolest from bunking classes to catching lifts to visit the nearest hot spots , all was fun. I also have 3 close friends from engineering . We had great fun from bakaring for hours , to playing cards , visiting places and talking about gals , fighting over gals :D.Now i miss those days of carefree laugh with all of them busy in their professional lives
one settled in Dubai other in Singapore and the third one in faridabad :)
Friends in the office are memorable too and this is where you learn that even people much elder than you can be great friends :) , had a wonderful 3 years in the office life. I don't know who says that office friends are not friends but its a fake life we live :) , on the contrary ,my job life gave me the opportunity to have friends from South , East , West and North all parts of the country, the best part i liked about my job , so much diversity in friends but so much bonding and affection :)
Now the b-school life probably the last phase of academic life , have again given me very nice and trustworthy friends :) some of them are elder and some of them are much younger , but the one thing that still holds us together is the Spirit of Friendship :)
Just want to say that please make use of this day and wish some of your old friends , whom you have not contacted for years , just because of lack of time or opportunity
